We know the next version of Android numbered 2.3 and codenamed Gingerbread is just a few steps away with the Nexus One being prepared for an OTA update to the new release but if you somehow were skeptical about it, here's another indirect hint of it being close.
Adobe Flash Player has just been updated to version 10.1.105.6 as hinted in the 10.1 update description that was announcing a refresh for November 9 that would prepare devices for a future Android OS version and bring a security exploit patch too. Together with the Flash Player, Adobe Air will be also updated soon to version 2.5.1 and with such hinting from a third party, the image is getting cleared and cleared that Gingerbread is not far away.
