Panasonic unveiled its Lumix Phone with the occasion of this year's CEATEC Japan (October 5-9, Tokyo), a device which is intended for the Japanese market with all its specifics.

The Lumix Phone is also running by the name of SoftBank 001P and sports a 3.3-inch VGA display, 300MB of storage memory doubled by microSD card support with all the usual suspects as WiFi, HSDPA, GPS and Bluetooth but what's not usual at all is its 720P capable - iA automatic mode enabled - camera packing a 13.2 megapixel CMOS sensor aided by Panasonic Mobile VenusEngine Image processor, advertised to be capable of grabbing a picture in 0.9 seconds. The handset initially rumored to arrive to the Japanese market in March 2011 is now said to be available as early as February 2011 also on NTT DoCoMo network which will grab it "soon".
