Android Market has over 100,000 applications

And here we go with a news to cheer up all Android lovers. Back inJuly, Google officially made public a number of 70,000 apps available in the Android Market. Now we hear from the company's AndroidDev Twitter account that it had passed 100,000 active apps. For those keeping count, in three months they acquired more 30,000 apps and still going up. 

Statistically speaking, Google is still well behing Apple (which has over 300,000 apps) but the number of new Android phones is growing fast and there is also the tablets market plus the Google TV that will count also. Anyway, a second position is a good place, surpassing competitors like Blackberry App World. 

While the info comes from the Twitter account, there was no official announcement from Google, but it could come later. Android Developer blog is yet to be updated with this fresh news. Does the market offers everything you need or want?
