Michael Dell Thinks WP7 Development to be Easier Than Android

A critical element to the success of Windows Phone 7 is third party applications. So far the number of apps in the Windows Phone 7 Marketplace is a bit slim, but most of the key apps are there. Microsoft went to great lengths to make sure that they created a development environment conducive to making developers happy. Windows Phone 7 apps can be written in XNA and Silverlight, existing development platforms for which endless documentation has already been produced. 

It looks like Microsoft's efforts are starting to pay dividends. Reuters is reporting that Michael Dell, CEO of Dell, speaking at an event in Hong Kong, has remarked that developing apps for Windows Phone is proving to be easier than for Android. This could be because Microsoft has made Windows Phone 7 development easy, or because Google has made Android development difficult with all of the fragmentation that exists.
